Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all services purchased through Maverick Marketer LLC, doing business as Joshua McSorley ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This includes the Marketing Systems Diagnosis, the Marketing Systems Advisor, and any project work delivered through Maverick Marketer.
Our Approach
We evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis. We want every client to feel confident in their investment, and we recognize that circumstances change. If something isn't working, we'd rather have a conversation about it than hold you to a payment that doesn't feel right.
Marketing Systems Diagnosis (one-time engagement)
Before the diagnostic session: If you request a refund before the diagnostic session has taken place and before significant preparatory work has begun, we will generally issue a full refund. "Significant preparatory work" includes situations where we have already reviewed your intake submissions, prepared custom analysis, or allocated dedicated time to your engagement.
After the diagnostic session: Once the diagnostic session has been conducted, the core consulting work has been performed. At this stage, refund requests are evaluated based on the specific circumstances. Because the diagnostic session involves real-time professional analysis that cannot be "returned," a full refund is unlikely. However, we may offer a partial refund or credit toward future services if the deliverables do not meet the scope agreed upon during the discovery process.
After deliverables are provided: Once the diagnosis report, action plan, and customer journey map have been delivered, the engagement is considered complete. Refunds are generally not available after delivery. If you believe the deliverables do not meet the agreed-upon scope, contact us within 14 days of delivery to discuss.
Marketing Systems Advisor (recurring engagement)
Cancellation: You may cancel your advisory engagement at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not prorate partial months.
Refund of the current billing cycle: If you cancel within the first 7 days of a new billing cycle and no advisory sessions have taken place during that cycle, we will generally issue a refund for that cycle. After 7 days or after an advisory session has been conducted, the current cycle is non-refundable.
First month: If you cancel your advisory engagement within the first 14 days and feel the service is not a good fit, contact us to discuss. We will evaluate a refund for the first month on a case-by-case basis.
Maverick Marketer project work (websites, funnels, automations, CRM)
Before work begins: If you request a refund before any project work has started (no wireframes, no development, no configuration), we will generally issue a full refund.
After work begins but before delivery: Once project work has started, refund requests are evaluated based on the work completed to date. We may offer a partial refund reflecting the difference between the total fee and the value of work already performed. Work already completed (wireframes, designs, configurations, documentation) remains your property if you have paid for it.
After delivery: Once the project deliverables have been handed off, the engagement is considered complete. Refunds are generally not available after delivery. If you believe the deliverables do not meet the agreed-upon scope, contact us within 14 days of delivery to discuss.
Maverick Marketer retainer (support and optimization)
Cancellation: You may cancel your retainer at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not prorate partial months.
Refund of the current billing cycle: If you cancel within the first 7 days of a new billing cycle and no work has been performed during that cycle, we will generally issue a refund for that cycle. After 7 days or after work has been performed during the cycle, the current cycle is non-refundable.
First month: If you cancel within the first 14 days and feel the service is not a good fit, contact us to discuss. We will evaluate a refund for the first month on a case-by-case basis.
Work product: Any deliverables produced during your retainer (updates, fixes, optimizations, documentation) remain your property regardless of cancellation status.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at hello@joshuamcsorley.com with:
- Your name and company name
- The service you purchased
- The date of your payment
- The reason for your request
We will respond within 5 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be processed through Stripe (or the original payment method) and returned to the account used for payment. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or credit card company instead of contacting us directly, we reserve the right to suspend your access to the platform and pause all work on your engagement until the dispute is resolved. We encourage you to reach out to us first so we can resolve any concerns directly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
