The Situation

Project Overview

Security Runners, a SaaS platform that helps enterprise organizations run cybersecurity exercises using chaos engineering, engaged me to refine their brand and design their website and platform interface. The goals were a brand identity that resonated with cybersecurity professionals, a visually striking website built around a dark theme, and a clean user interface for the SaaS application that could grow with the platform.

Marketing collateral and hands-on Figma and Webflow training for the in-house team rounded out the engagement so they could maintain the work themselves after launch.

The Work

Our Approach

The engagement covered six workstreams across four months: audience discovery, brand identity, website build, SaaS UX/UI design, marketing strategy, and a hands-on training pass so the internal team owned the platform from launch onward.

1. Discovery

Researched the target audience (security engineers) to understand their design preferences and technical requirements, with a clear focus on the dark-theme aesthetic that audience expects.

2. Brand identity

Refined the logo, designed consistent social media covers, and produced business cards, keeping the technical dark-theme look across every surface. Delivered as a Lean Brand Kit for both digital and physical use.

3. Website development

Built a Webflow site with a sleek, functional dark-mode interface, a blog backed by a custom CMS, server-based analytics that respect user privacy, and the standard legal pages (Privacy Policy and Terms of Service).

4. UX/UI design

Designed the SaaS application's interface with a focus on usability, and built a modular design system so the look stayed consistent as the platform added features.

5. Marketing strategy

Delivered a marketing funnel and value ladder built for cybersecurity buyers, giving the team a clear path for nurturing leads into long-term enterprise customers.

6. Training and handoff

Ran Figma and Webflow training for the in-house development team so they could maintain and extend both the marketing site and the platform interface on their own.

The Result

Project Outcome

Security Runners launched with a brand and website that fit the security audience, a SaaS interface their team could extend on their own, and a marketing funnel that gave the sales motion somewhere to point at.

Cohesive brand identity

The refined identity fit the security-focused audience, keeping a professional yet modern aesthetic across the site, social, and physical collateral.

Site that fit the audience

The dark-mode website appealed to technical users while keeping navigation simple and analytics privacy-respecting from day one.

Design system the team could extend

The modular system gave the internal team something they could maintain and add to on their own, so the SaaS interface stayed consistent as the product grew.

Marketing and lead generation

With a clear funnel and value ladder in place, Security Runners had a defined path for capturing leads and nurturing relationships with enterprise buyers.
