Most service businesses need three different kinds of help. I've built my practice so each one has a dedicated home.
Traditional consultants give you strategy but can't build. Traditional agencies build but can't diagnose what's actually wrong. Freelance networks give you specialists but no accountability. I've structured my practice around three entities that each do one thing well, and they hand off to each other cleanly. You never get stuck between strategy and execution.
Three entities. One practice.
Each entity has a clear role. The consultancy is the diagnostic front door. Maverick Marketer is the build studio. TechLunch is the specialist bench that powers Maverick engagements when a project calls for expertise beyond what we handle in-house.
Joshua McSorley
I diagnose what's broken and what to fix first.
The front door. Where every engagement starts. I map the path from first click to closed deal and hand you an action plan for what's broken, what to fix first, and in what order.
Maverick Marketer
We build the systems the diagnosis calls for.
The execution arm. Websites, funnels, CRM setup, automation, integrations. Maverick doesn't take blind build requests. Every engagement starts from a diagnosis, either one I run or one you already have clarity on.
TechLunch
The specialist bench I pull from when a project needs expertise outside my in-house capacity.
A curated community of vetted agency owners, freelancers, and builders. When a project calls for specific expertise, I either bring a TechLunch member into a Maverick engagement, or introduce you directly so you can work with them on your own.
You come here first.
You don't hire a build team before you know what needs building. The consultancy is where we figure out what's actually broken in your marketing system, why it's broken, and what to fix first.
Most service businesses have enough traffic. What they don't have is a system that catches it, qualifies it, follows up on it, and hands it cleanly to sales. The consultancy exists to make that system visible, assign ownership to each piece, and sequence the fixes in the order that produces the most compounding value.
You can start with the Free Website Assessment for a surface-level scan, or book an intro call to talk through what's going on. From there, the paid engagements are scoped to what you actually need: a Pilot to prove a specific fix works, a Diagnosis to map the whole system, or Advisory to stay close to the work over time.
- Free Website Assessment
Free. 60 seconds. No email required. See what's leaking on your site right now.
- Intro call
30 minutes. No pitch. Talk through what's going on and whether I can help.
- Marketing Systems Pilot
$1,000. 10 hours. 1 to 3 weeks. For known problems. Solves one tightly scoped issue with a working example.
- Marketing Systems Diagnosis
$2,000. 2 weeks. For unknown or systemic problems. Full systems review with a prioritized fix plan.
- Marketing Systems Advisory
Ongoing. For service business owners and marketing leads who want a strategic partner without hiring one full-time.
Once you know what to build, Maverick builds it.
The standalone Maverick Marketer website is launching soon. In the meantime, here's what it does and how to engage.
Visit mymaverickmarketer.com →Maverick Marketer is the execution arm of the practice. Websites, funnels, CRM setup, marketing automation, integrations. The stuff that actually makes the system work.
Maverick isn't a general-purpose agency. Every engagement starts from a diagnosis, either one I run through the consultancy or one you already have clarity on. That means you're not paying Maverick to figure out what needs to happen. You're paying us to execute a plan that already exists.
That discipline is why engagements stay on time and on budget. When the scope is clear before the build begins, the work is faster, sharper, and easier to hand off to your team once it's done.
- Project
Fixed scope, fixed timeline, fixed price. For defined builds with clear deliverables.
- Support
Ongoing monthly capacity for iterative improvements and scheduled work.
- Optimization
Post-launch work to tune performance, conversion, and integration over time.
Maverick is a fit if you've been through a diagnosis and have a prioritized plan, or if you have a specific known build need you want to scope and schedule. If you're not sure what needs building yet, start with the consultancy instead.

TechLunch is a curated community of vetted agency owners, freelancers, and builders. It started as a coworking knowledge-sharing group and evolved into a trusted specialist network I draw from when a project calls for specific expertise.
How the engagement runs depends on the shape of the project. When the work belongs inside an active Maverick build, I bring in the right TechLunch member and they plug into that engagement. When the project is a focused piece that's cleaner as a direct relationship, I introduce you to the specialist and you work with them on your own terms.
Either way, you get a vetted specialist matched to the work, not a cold hire from a roster and not a generalist agency stretched to cover everything. No agency overhead. No cast of freelancers to manage yourself.
- Vetted expertise
Every TechLunch member has been in the community long enough to have a track record. No cold hires.
- The right match for the work
I pull in the specialist whose strengths line up with the specific piece you need built, not a generalist agency stretching to cover everything.
- Two ways to engage
When the work belongs inside an active Maverick build, the specialist plugs into that engagement. When it doesn't, I introduce you directly and you take it from there.
- Scoped involvement
Specialists are brought in for the specific work they're best at, not billed to the whole engagement.
A typical engagement, across all three.
Most clients don't start with all three entities at once. They enter through the consultancy, move into Maverick when they're ready to build, and benefit from TechLunch without ever having to think about it. Here's what that usually looks like in practice.
- 1
Start with a scan or a call.
You run the Free Website Assessment or book an intro call. This is where we figure out whether there's a real fit and what the best next step is.
- 2
Diagnose or pilot.
If the problem is systemic, you engage a Marketing Systems Diagnosis. If the problem is known and specific, you engage a Marketing Systems Pilot. Either way, you walk away with a prioritized plan.
- 3
Build with Maverick.
When it's time to execute, Maverick picks up the plan and starts building. Websites, funnels, automations, integrations. Whatever the diagnosis called for, in the order the diagnosis specified.
- 4
Pull in specialists as needed.
If a piece of the build needs specific expertise beyond our in-house team, Maverick brings in TechLunch members. You don't manage that. It just happens.
- 5
Stay close after launch.
Once the system is running, you can stay on Optimization with Maverick, step up to Marketing Systems Advisory with me, or both. Most clients do some version of both.
